July 13th, 2010 Posted in Sheet Music |

I’ve been updating daily. This is my way of making up for the lack of updates from either school or whatever else. So, if you’ll look to the left, you’ll notice new sheet music from Trauma Team, Tengen Tetris, Tales of Symphonia, Animal Crossing, and Baten Kaitos Origin.

I really want to get to the 100th sheet fast. I have something special in store for that one. πŸ˜‰

So check back here daily. I’m on a roll. Alternatively, you can also follow me on Twitter, where I post updates as I make them.

    Happy playing.

    Trauma Team and Month Updates

July 9th, 2010 Posted in New Stuff, Sheet Music |

    Hey there.

Power was out at my house for a while. That and Summer School has kept me from updating these days. Hopefully there won’t be anything else keeping me from updating! I really don’t like going long periods without updates…

That being said, I’ve decided to go about updates differently. Instead of the past batch updates where there’d be 3 or more sheets posted at a time, updates will now generally be posted one sheet at a time. By no means does this mean less sheet music; it means I’ll be posting sheets as they’re finished. That means you guys get the sheets faster. Well, that’s the plan anyway. The “Newest Sheet Music” to the left will indicate all the sheets posted in the current month.

The first sheet for July was the request: Trauma Team – Rosalia’s GUILT. Most of it was for piano anyway. Oh, and just to clarify, I don’t finish the requests in any particular order. I do whatever requests I feel like doing at the time so that I don’t get a headache. Practically all of them get started. It just depends on my mood which ones get completed first.

    Until next update.

    Super Mario Galaxy 2

May 24th, 2010 Posted in Sheet Music |

Hello again after the very long hiatus. College is nearly done for me. Updates should be becoming more frequent. Soon enough…

Super Mario Galaxy 2 just came out (yesterday was it?) and the music is awesome. I’ve sadly not had the opportunity to actually play the game yet , but I’ve been listening to the tracks. So farΒ  I’ve transcribed World Map 3 since I believe it’s the only solo piano piece. I could be wrong. If there are more, they will be transcribed as well.

And for those of you who’ve requested music, I have not forgotten about you! Still working on Professor Layton, two Trauma Center sheets, and some more from Animal Crossing.

For now, enjoy this very small update.

    An update without an update

    February 3rd, 2010 Posted in Rant |

Just letting you guys know that my computer has been having issues lately so that’s just the heads up in case there isn’t any new sheets in a while. If anyone knows of a reason as to why Windows 7 would constantly shut down randomly, please let me know. It would be very helpful…

    Second wave of Animal Crossing!

January 20th, 2010 Posted in Sheet Music |

More Animal Crossing sheet music! Does it stop here? Who knows. Maybe they’ll be a third wave, maybe there won’t.

From both the Gamecube and Wild World versions I finally arranged some background music. I chose these hours specifically because they were either memorable or just sounded nice on piano. My favorite background tune was definitely 2 AM from Animal Crossing Wild World. It sounds a bit like something Erik Satie would write. Pretty random for it to play at that time of the night though.

The two K.K. tunes I transcribed are K.K. Lullaby and K.K. Etude. K.K. Lullaby sounds so much nicer in the K.K. Slider version. Needless to say I was disappointed when I finally got the aircheck for my house. And K.K. Slider’s version of K.K. Etude is actually one of the few pieces that are easier to play than the aircheck version. I’d learn it myself, but to be honest, I don’t like the piece very much. Sounds like he was trying to imitate Mozart and if that’s the case, I’d just rather play Mozart! πŸ˜›

That’s about it for now. School starts for me again tomorrow so I’ll have a bit less time to arrange stuff. Doesn’t mean my updates will be scarce suddenly! I got a nice MP3 player for Christmas so I’ll be spending some of my breaks arranging music on manuscript paper in the halls, then I’ll simply write it out on the computer at home. Right now I’m working on some requests and maybe I’ll throw in some more Animal Crossing if I’m still in the mood.

    Happy playing!

    A wave of Animal Crossing!

January 13th, 2010 Posted in Sheet Music |

I got in an Animal Crossing arranging mood so you get Animal Crossing sheet music! Next update will have even more Animal Crossing since I started around 5-6 other sheets and plan on finishing them. I finished Totakeke’s version of K.K. Sonata as promised, finished his version of K.K. Lament (it was a request a long time ago), and K.K. Aria which, like the aircheck , is also a GMA exclusive.
The K.K. Slider versions of the tracks are so much better than the airchecks, don’t you think? Talking about how it comes out on piano. Hate that dog’s goddamn singing.

    More to come. Stay tuned.

    Fixed some sheets

January 10th, 2010 Posted in Sheet Music |

I spent some time and went and fixed quite a few errors on some of the sheet music. A lot of it was the really old stuff so I’m not feeling too bad. It was mostly incorrectly notated rhythms and sometimes wrong enharmonic spelling. I didn’t know much about Music Theory back then. I think only 2 sheets actually had wrong notes.

Here’s a list of what was fixed.

New sheet music should be up next week.

    Happy New Year

January 1st, 2010 Posted in Sheet Music |

5 new sheets for you guys to enjoy. I don’t feel like writing about all of them. πŸ˜›
    Have fun.

EDIT: Okay, now I have time to talk.
We have 2 sheets from the New Super Mario Bros. Wii and 2 from Animal Crossing: City Folk. I plan to transcribe a lot more from NSMBW (I say that a lot, don’t I…). Not everything since some of them are remixes. Hell, that Koopa Kid Tower one might be a remix too. I don’t know. I’m going to go through all the decent sounding Overworlds, maybe a level theme or two, the Koopa Kid Castle, and the Underwater theme. Might update the Projects page on that game…
For Animal Crossing: City Folk, I made sheet music for that tune I always made K.K. Slider play in Wild World. In the DS version you could hear it by mistyping a song name. Of course, it didn’t have a real name until the Wii version. Believe it or not, that was the only thing stopping me from arranging it earlier! Along with that I arranged the aircheck version too. They were pretty different so it was worth arranging both.
    Whoa deja vu…
Oh yeah, K.K. Sonata. I’ll get to K.K. Slider’s version next update. πŸ™‚

Aside from sheet music, over the next few days/months the site will be undergoing some changes. Things will be moved around, added, and taken away. Hopefully we’ll have an entirely new layout by the time the site reaches 100 sheets.

May the new year bring much more great video game music.

    Cheers!

Entirely my fault. I put off upgrading.

Anyway, you can now request sheet music or report problems with existing sheets again.

Or you know, just post in general.

    Christmas update

December 22nd, 2009 Posted in Sheet Music |

It’s not Christmas yet and I probably could have waited a bit and brought you one or two more sheets by Friday, but I want to have something for both Christmas and New Years.
Mario Kart: Super Circuit was my entry for the GMA Christmas arrangement contest. It is a GMA exclusive. Well, when the contest ends anyway.
Got some Phoenix Wright done. Godot’s theme. I’ll probably make another harder version of that one since there are chords/inner voices that I left out of this one. I’ll also be doing more from the Phoenix Wright series too as there aren’t a lot of arrangements of the music on the net for just piano. Looks like arrangements made by being extracted from MIDI files and split into “instruments”. You know who you are.
And those of you at Ichigos who have been waiting on me for Eternal Sonata sheet music, it’s here. I may not own an Xbox 360 or the game, but man, the music is great. I’ve only transcribed the violin part of “Your Truth is my False”, but I’ll get to the piano version eventually. Two versions I’m thinking. The piano part which is a transcription of the piano part in the piece, and an arrangement version which has the other instruments arranged into a piano sheet. Certainly going to be a challenge.

That’s it for now. I have some half finished arrangements here. Hopefully we’ll have a New Years update too. For everyone else, Happy Holidays!
